Military Spouses continued

So yesterday, I discussed the negative stereotypes of Military spouses. If you didn’t read that blog post, you can read it here.

We all know there are a few wives that do act in that manner, but today I’m not talking about them. Last night a good friend of mine Anna, a fellow military spouse, posted this video. I wanted to share it with you all because I really like it. This guy makes some great points about how much we sacrifice because we love a man in uniform.

He did a great job showing us in a true colors, and showing just how strong we are. My favorite point he made was how many of us women bite our tongues when we see our friends complaining about how their boyfriends/husbands will be gone for a week. (You do not know how many times I have had to bite my tongue for this one.)

And last but not least, I am so glad he did not forget the widows because they will ALWAYS be military spouses, and I think a lot of people forget that. One of the things I try to tell myself, whenever I feel myself start to complain, is to be grateful because somewhere there is a Gold Star Wife/Husband who wishes their spouse was still alive. It’s a great tribute video to the military spouses, and I recommend everyone watch it.

I mean it.
