Christmas ’10

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven’t updated the blog in a few days. Things have been a little hectic, here but I just wanted to update everyone about the holidays.

We had a wonderful Christmas. Thing 1 and Thing 2 woke up at their normal time in the morning, 7am, and literally attacked their presents! The poor toys never knew what hit them. They adored their Backyardigans and Mickey Mouse toys, and they haven’t stopped playing with them! We bought them a Backyardigans guitar, two boom boxes, and a Tyrone doll. They also received two Mickey Mouse toys and Mickey Mouse and Ni Hao Kai-Lan dolls.

All four kids of course, received clothes from their Grandma, Aunt, and Uncle which they loved as well.  And last but not least, the girls received a Dora Kitchen set from some very generous family friends of ours. Our friend’s daughter wanted a new kitchen set and so the beautiful Dora set has been rehomed here. The girls are obsessed with their Dora Kitchen. I put the kitchen set in their bedroom, so all the tiny pieces of play food and play dishware can stay in one select area. If the girls had their way I would be finding plastic food scattered about the home, and that would be a nightmare to clean. So for now, the kitchen set and the food stays in their bedroom. This way the mess is consolidated. 😉

As for Mr. Thing and I, we both managed to get ourselves something nice. I bought him an old fashioned shaving kit which he constantly talks about. So I guess it’s a hit. 🙂 And, my gift was a little shopping spree. I was able to order some clothes and some make up from E.L.F.  All in all, I have to say Christmas was a success.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family. 🙂
